Problem Five: Soccer Project

Daniel is a keen soccer fan in the soccer-mad town of Tammell. He barracks for four different local clubs! He picked one player from each team to do his school project on. He was sure he had remembered everything perfectly until he was asked to present his project. He was about to talk about his favourite players but he found he couldn’t remember which was in which team and where each one played! He found he couldn’t even remember their last names! Now it’s your turn to save him from a certain F.
Using the clues your job is to find out what each player’s first and last name is, what position they play, and what club they play for.

Clues
1. Sam plays in the midfield and his last name rhymes with Frank’s.
2. Mr Bracken plays for the Strikers, but isn’t a striker in the game.
3. Norsewick were proud to recruit Thomas, their newest defender.
4. Mr Mayne is a goalie in Castleton.
5. Frank is a striker.
6. Mr Miller, who plays for Redland, isn’t a midfielder.
