The four letters, XLNC, sound just like the ten-letter word excellency.
The first two sounds (XL) are the name of a spreadsheet program.
If you arrange the letters in modus operandi alphabetically (addeimNooprsu), the letter N is the middle letter. Also, modus operandi is usually written as an abbreviation, MO, which in the alphabet, would have an N in the middle.
The final letter (C) sounds like sea. Do you see?
Answer Two: Palmer’s Notation

0 - Number of teeth most infants are born with, already erupted.
20 - The number of ‘milk teeth’ children get in their first 5 years.
28 - The number of permanent teeth children get between the ages of 6-12.
32 - Is the number of teeth a young adult has once their Wisdom Teeth [3rd molars] come in, usually age 17-24.
28 - Is the number of teeth most adults have because either A- Wisdom teeth never made an appearance, or B- they have had them removed.
As to the Hint:
Some people get 0 Wisdom Teeth [3rd molars]
Some get 1-2-3-4.
And in some rare cases there have been
people who got 4th and even 5th molars!!

Statement 1 is the simplest form of syllogism, and it’s true.
In statement 2, each number is the square root of its preceding number increased by 1, and it’s true.
In statement 3, the differences of neighboring terms are 2, 3, 4… and the next number should be 15, so it’s false.

Then, if one of them is asked about the tribe of the other, he’ll say “TRIBE X”.
If both are in tribe X, then he’ll tell the truth, that is “TRIBE X”.

Hence B and D are liars (TRIBE Y), while A and C are honest (TRIBE X).
