Literature Review: Diversity problem for Politics
This “Ten Problems for Politics in the 2020s” booklet identifies ten relevant areas from very recent contributions put forward at academic level in the form journal articles, conference proceedings and students theses. Ten freely accessible internet references have been selected for each area and direct links are provided at the end of each chapter for own consultation. Our selected references do not intend to mirror ranking indexes nor establish novel classifications. On the contrary, they are meant to represent peer-reviewed, diverse and scientifically-sound case studies for vertical dissemination aimed at non-specialist readers. They will also be able to scoop even more references through the bibliography that is reported at the end of each selected reference.
Without further ado, these are the ten problems that we are going to introduce in this booklet:
- international relations,
Each problem has its own dedicated chapter made of an introductory section, a short presentation of the ten selected references and a conclusions section.
The final chapter of this booklet will report the conclusions from each chapter again in order to provide a complete executive summary.
THE PROBLEM — Both the “feminism” and “politics” of political parties’ women’s organizations in Europe are now deemed outdated. Women’s representation in politics is low in Middle East North Africa compared to many parts of the world. Harassment, unfortunately, has become the status quo on the internet. United States are experiencing a rise of populism, nationalism, and nativism in government through the Trump administration and popular support for it. In Europe today, a large number of Roma are still living in deplorable conditions. Anti-Muslim sentiment faces particularly concerning manifestations in the British press.

CONCLUSIONS — Political parties are the key gatekeepers and power players for fair representation of women and ethnic or racialized minorities. Since the eruption of the Arab Spring, gender inequality remains one of the most challenging obstacles to democracy in the Middle East North Africa region. The COVID-19 crisis has multiple and deep impacts on the various aspects of cultures of rejection. In the United States and Europe, racism is an ideology of white supremacy aimed at keeping one group on top and eliminating the rights of another and is a tool of oppression. The role of the modern Western states is the production and reproduction of a political, social and cultural homogeneity against diversity. Tabloids in Britain have created a community of readers, connected by a shared working class, predominantly white identity. The lack of consistency within papers’ coverage and within stories written by the same writer, outlines how news organizations are still struggling to decide how to cover issues such as transgender. The European New Right criticizes the American economic model, propelled by individualist rhetoric about hard work, as actually commercializing human existence rather than valuing it. Even in the presence of a politically divided Congress, large majorities of Californians express optimism that Biden and the Congress will be able to make progress on many of the issues that are important to them. The Post-behavioralist movement in Political science now requires the discovery of the ‘reasons’ which persons of groups have for acting as they do.
